Sasaki Shiro Takatsuna and Kajiwara Genda Kagesue on horseback. At the Second Battle of Uji, the pair famously competed to be first to cross the Uji river and attack the enemy. They are seen here galloping into the river, with the enemy just visible on the bank beyond.
