Description
Hisayoshi, a kabuki name for Toyotomi Hideyoshi, is shown unperterbed while those around him are panicked by a supernatural storm. The episode illustrated is one where Hideyoshi organised a Noh play on Mount Koya, despite the monk Kobo Daishi’s instruction that the holy mountain not be disturbed. Daishi is said to have summoned the great storm and even Hideyoshi was overcome by his magic.
