Description
Magaki Heikuro shown galloping his horse up the stairs of Atago shrine. The story goes that Tokugawa Iemitsu caught sight of a beautiful spray of plum flowers at the top of the stairs and challenged his retainers to bring it back. None would dare until Heikuro raced his horse up the stairs and returned with the branch, gaining renown for his skills of horsemanship.
