Description

A Parody of the “Much Frequented” episode from a series of prints parodying famous episodes in the life of the poet Ono no Komachi.

A young woman is shown setting off into a snowstorm with an umbrella. In Komachi’s life, an officer of the Emperor’s bodyguard swore to visit her every night for one hundred nights. On the last night, however, he was caught in a snowstorm and found frozen the next morning.
